One of the most famous Chocolate/Coconut/Almond recipes has got to be the Almond Joy bar which was produced by the Peter Paul company and introduced in 1946 before merging with Cadbury in 1978 and eventually being purchased by Hershey Foods in 1988. During the 1970s, the Peter Paul company used the jingle, "Sometimes you feel like a nut / Sometimes you don't / Almond Joy's got nuts / Mounds don't," to advertise Almond Joy and Mounds as sister products. However, another difference is that Mounds is wrapped in dark chocolate, rather than milk chocolate. |
